Ingredients

  • 8 oz stir-fry noodles (ramen, udon, or rice noodles work great)

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 lb protein of choice (thinly sliced chicken breast, shrimp, or cubed tofu)

  • 2 cups assorted vegetables, chopped (broccoli florets, bell peppers, carrots, snow peas, or bok choy)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced

  • 1/2 cup Noodlebomb sauce

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • Garnish: chopped scallions, sesame seeds, or a lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain them and set them aside. To prevent them from sticking, you can toss them with a tiny bit of sesame oil.

  2. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the Noolebomb sauce, soy sauce, and cornstarch. This will create a thick, glossy sauce that coats every ingredient perfectly. Set the sauce aside.

  3. Cook the Protein: Heat the sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add your protein and cook until it is browned and cooked through. Remove the cooked protein from the pan and set it aside.

  4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables: Add the vegetables to the same wok (add a little more oil if needed). Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender. Add the minced garlic and ginger and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  5. Combine and Sauce: Add the cooked noodles and the cooked protein back to the wok with the vegetables. Give everything a quick toss to combine.

  6. Add the Noodlebomb Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the ingredients in the wok. Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat everything evenly.

  7. Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately. Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds for extra flavor and crunch.

Chef's Tips:

  • Prep is Everything: A good stir-fry moves fast. Make sure all your vegetables are chopped and your sauce is mixed before you turn on the heat.

  • Don't Crowd the Pan: Cook the protein and vegetables in batches if your pan is not large enough. This ensures a proper sear and prevents the ingredients from steaming.

  • Customize It: This recipe is a template! Feel free to swap out the vegetables and protein based on what you have on hand. Mushrooms, snap peas, and water chestnuts are all great additions.
